Rochester Trade Days
I had the privilege of setting up at Rochester Trade Days Festival this October. Rochester, Texas is a special place to generations of my family. This tiny town has a big heart, and we go back at least five generations in this wonderful place. While I’ve never lived in Rochester, I have fond memories as a child, playing on the school grounds, eating in the cafe, and listening to the breeze on my aunts’ porch. Naturally, an invite to join Trade Days, an annual food and fun festival, had to be accepted!
I caught up with so many old friends and met new ones, including author Marq Carlton Brockett. We traded our books. I can’t wait to dive into his westerns!!! Several of my cousins live in Rochester, and I got to watch their children play, while we laughed about old stories. One of my children accompanied me, and we had an incredible time with my mother.
There’s nothing like a few days at home!
