I thrive in the photoshoot process for the HHC book covers. It all starts with a concept. I must depict the vibe of an entire book with a single shot.

It must convey emotion, depth of character, and setting. It’s important to layer in new characters while keeping characters in the loop that maintain a sense of familiarity. I ponder long and hard about which characters are so central to each story that they must be on the cover.

Once the vision and vibe are set, I start hiring models to play new characters. This is an intricate process.

I want an instant connection with each character in the picture. I need models who radiate soul from the eyes.

I peruse many model shots, searching for that set of eyes that speaks to me.

Book Four is a turning point. The world of the Hollywood High Chronicles expands in this one. We feature three new characters that are pivotal, and they have to be right.

I hired an extraordinary model from out of state to play a heartthrob. Talk about striking eyes! There’s a depth of old soul in Brody Pagan that radiates. Not to mention that he has the easiest sense of humor.

My biker character is brought to life by an actor who is incredible. Getting the right balance between ass kicking tough guy and teddy bear isn’t easy. Neil Antonio nailed it!

The newest female power player of the cast was the hardest to find. I need gorgeous, sensual, no nonsense, motherly, compassionate, and intimidating. She has to have goddess energy, while also being everyone’s safe harbor. Who better than the agent that is the safe harbor of most of my models? Indeed, I hired the boss, the GOAT, my go-to agent with the models of New Mexico, Diedre Michelle.

The cast was perfection:  professional, easy going, and ready to work. Throughout the series, I’ve been blessed with a cast that I wouldn’t change for anything.

Models work hard. I’ve tasked them with being the spark of my book series, and they’ve all risen to the challenge with their brand of “hell yes.”

I’m over the moon thankful for these talented professionals! Without them, we wouldn’t see the HHC come to life!
